Right is Right

When it comes to the discussion of "race" in America there will never be an agreement between blacks and whites until the African Americans see themselves for the racist that they are. Men like Jeremiah Wright and Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan are hailed and applauded by the African American community. We know that trying to come to some sort of agreement with people that applaud a bigot will be impossible. Until African Americans see that excluding every other race from their activities and entities is racist while at the same time not allowing any other race to exclude them, we can never have an honest talk or debate about race in this country. When BET and Miss Black America are hailed in a community that will not allow other races to exclude them then you know that the devide between the blacks and whites will never, repeat never, be closed.
During the days of legal Slavery my family were Quakers and never even entertained the idea of owning another human being, but because I am white that doesn't matter. I'm still seen by African Americans as an oppressor. Until the African American Community stops blaming everything from sunburn to sin on the white man and stands up to their own racist views of the world, nothing will change.
